Lesson learnt:"is ok to make mistakes..."

hmm.. today was the next half of the class's turn to attend the stimulation class...

what's tt?
The room of this class consists of a simplifed ward setting and a maniqueen that can roll his eyes, got breathing...
then, 3 of us got the roles as REGISTERED NURSE by drawing lots...
which is me, sh, stif...

we r given a real setting. Given the case of the pt, we r left to do the nursing care for the patient..
we r orientated to the setting and the equipments, then the whole scenes start..
anyway, we r videoed! and the audience can see us through a glass wall, but, we can't see them.
the whole process is actually stressed and both me and sh's mind was real blank.

i'm glad that i have this chance to participate in this as i learnt alot thru this 30 mins experience.

although we did alot of mistakes, we learnt. and i believe this will be written in the diary of my nursing journey named "the first exposure".

Omg!!!

looking at the last blogging, i then realised that i've not been blogging for a mth!
i din kept my promise to keep on with blogging...
sorry peeps, i'm real busy with sch workS!
projs...exams...projs...exams...

finally after today's elective (Entrepnuers' board rm presentation which i enjoys~), then slighty free.
monday another exam, then the yr end sem' s exam.

using this time to update you all about my past 29 days doingS. haha.

i must really mention again, is BUSY. that's the only word to describe the past 29 days.

recently, i bet alot of us had heard about a happening in tw. about Xu Wei Lun...
although i'm not a fan of her, this news had really ache my heart.
a beautiful, talented young lady just leave this world like this.
I must say, this happening influence alot of us to cherish the pple around us more.

exam is round the corner, i must buck up! jia you!

is the 2nd day of sch. everything was the same though, going lectures,tutorials, doing up all PROJECTS!

anyway, my holiday was pretty enjoyable! went to Bangkok.
sth actually happens there.
31st dec, new year's eve, bomb in the downtown, 4am.
we din know, till yf jie's sis call to tell us that there's bomb there!
when i hear it, i'm in a 7 eleven buying stuff to celebrate the new year and mum's bdae.
we accept the news pretty normally, get on our feets to the hotel. but inside everyone's heart was praying for our safety.
we all went on with our celebration at lxj's room, waiting for the new year and to see the fireworks. as the day before we actually see the preview of it.

sad news came along..the celebration for Bangkok's pple was cancelled due to the bombing happenings.
though, we carry on with our celebration.
"pom"... 12am bangkok's time. we ran to the windows and stick our face there to see the beautiful fireworks. nth came along..
it was another bomb somewhere. we din knw and a few sec later, the fireworks came along, is not as "tall" and beautiful as the previewed ones.
we carry on with our Games, had lots of fun.
3am..we went back to our room...
that night i bet lots of us can't sleep that well..

new year day! 3pm the bus came to fetch us to the airport... a bit chaos in the airport. i was thinking "r the pple there trying to fleet away?"..

finally 9pm we reach singapore. i felt so much safer! when i reached home, lxj call dad and told him that there's another bomb at bangkok, this time a hotel is bombed. we r lucky. is actually the hotel that we wanted to stay initally.

thank god.

but, apart from the bomb happenings, i enjoyed myself in the trip, do proud for singapore as i bought lots of stuff.. wahAhhahahahahz...

get on with studies now. =)

finally i'm FREE to blog...
The start of the hol from mon till now, everyday i'm out of hse. very "busy" !!! haha...
monday: piano recital... quite ok, though i screwed up abit. a very good experience and i learnt alot from other pianist's performance. i just LOVE the "CHOPSTICKS" duet piece!
**shy** part for that day: we have a backstage room for us, performers, to rest. then the room has a toilet which is shared among guys and girls.
i went to the toilet, then when i'm out, a guy (i suspect is ah-gua) came in. he asked:" no more girls inside right, can i use?" i said:"can." then....
as i was washing my hands, he(quite tall guy) was using the cubicle ( the cubicle has a very short door).
i could actually SAW HIS HEAD FROM OUTSIDE... ah... so embarrasing.
lucky he din look out, if not...
then, i quickly walk out of the toilet!
**what a stupid designed toilet.**
tuesday: went k-ing with bro and aunt. sang alot of Old-deeS...
got influence from PSS2 prelimnary round 3 and 4 which they have to sing Lao3 Ge1.
haha...
wed: go sch chiong project... act out the skit for the stupid NE module. ah...
sch reopen sure "challenging" seh~
thurs: went out with wes,stif,antz,sh and yy to eat vege. steamboat buffet, celebrating my "early" b'dae. YummY! they enjoyed the food. then treat them to bowling.. i had 4 gO-sOng (zero pt). i had the lowest score of the day and named "Long Gou Huang Hou"...whahahahahah!
very touched by the presentS they gave me. hmm... alot of Mu Hou preparation.
ah... got niunai's signatured EP with my name and milk's greetings... hooooOOo....
to-dae: went out with mun and jun. mun went interview while i baked cake in the toilet...haha...
ate sth wrong, now still stomach-ache. hmm.. anyway, mun would be working 4 mths @ this design company @ ubi area. we even "guide" her to take what bus... haha.
then... went vivo city. first time there. jun "guide" us around... she very familiar with that place as if her hse. then saw her dad, so cute! then went to see doggies! so cute! i like puppies!

3 more days to me turning 19! yea!

i promised i would really USED this break time preciously...

today end sch early and had a short meeting with my grp.. hee..
we going to role-play again! wOHoOOhOo! my favE~
then.. yy and beebi say they attend a talk on doing volunteer wk in CAMBODIA..
i'm so Excited about iT! (the others in the grp toO!) then yy ask if we want to come along..
actually i hesitated, but from the such gd response from others, my heart say a strong "YES!" to join them..

haha.. but is not confirm yet. then we went to find the DOris to ask if attachment clashes with this volunteer work.. then...
.... SHE on leave.. den the note says:" Ms choo would attend to my matters."
then we went to Ms choo, she is also not there.. (haha.. i just feel like laughing now when we will ask by the note to go see ms choo...hahahahaha.. coz alot of us don't like her, esp YY.. ahahahahaha)
then.. we write a note to Ms choo and leaves beebi's hp no. hmm.. (yy say sth when she write the note.. so funny..)
as they r writing the note, me and shihwee was talking sacastically to stif, we don't know say what, den...
the fire alarm RANG, we both got SHOCKED together, then we LAUGH!
haha.. very funny reaction..

aftermath, head off to meet jun and mun for lunch, went peter's side to ask abt jun's contact lens.
then when i on my way home, i got a feeling jun will call me.. then i reached home.
then! jun actually called me and i knw what she is going to ask me.. OMG!
she came my house to wait for the time to meet her dad and sis at vivo..
haha.. Gut's feeling..

today, i had a great experience being a..... ENTREPRENEUR!
is tough, but we enjoyed the process..

for infor, i'm doing for my elective: Entrepreneurship in healthcare. and today we had a Entrepreneurship day which all grps have to provide a service for the staff and student of SHS.

so, my grp did on Massaging--> to De-Stress.. =)

we have massage on the face, neck, shoulder and foot! =) alot of our "customer" asked if we r trained? haha.. we r Not actually, but learn from pple lah~
anyway, being not PRos.. we still got Good feedback.. our "customer" actually enjoyed it!
so happY!

although we had only 14 customer for the 2 hours session, we put in our best service and "professionalism".. hOooOoO....

I ENJOYED myself! yea! =)

although my hands are tired now. haHa.

hmm..haven been blogging recently!

first of alL, i got to thank MUN ALOT!!! thank her for the laptop, for my mon's presentation... finally, one proj presentation over.. the rest are all after hols..

so fast, is end of the YEAR! decemeber..wooHHOoOO.. any New year's resolutions? haha..

after sch, all our way to orchard. saw trina, we tok the same train.. ahahaha.. she on leave but still go back to sch to finish her work.. then she ask her if her "giraffe" bag was nice or not? she said she bought frm bangkok! damn cheap 199baht (8 sin dollar).. WAH! then i told her i'm going there during hols..then she very excited and start telling me to go which shopping mall to shop, etc..haha..

she is a VERY FRIENDLY lecturer, i must say! hee..

today, used my voice so much.. singing away.. whahahah.. fun! shouting away in the end.. really de-stress! hee.. =)

so tired.. don wish to do anything now.. but still have to.. hmm.. if not after holiday i dun think i can finish all the assignments...

yea! i passed my BCLS practical!!! =)
but i'm "tricked" by one of the lecturer when i'm doing adult unconscious (choking)... b'coz when can give 2ventilations, airway cleared, check pulse.. she asked me no pulse? then i say" do cpr" .. then do 1 cycle.. then...

i go and check got foreign body mah~ then she very happy as she had successfully tricked me! she says " haha.. caught u"... which i think is so Lame.. berH?

coz all my friends say she kept scolding pple de.. hmm..

btw, i'm glad, i'm more relaxed now.. got to rush do those PROjecTS! =)

woOh! get my new specs today.. is cooL! my bro say i look more Pro -looking.. (i always pro)..
whahahahahahahz...

then went for lunch with dad,mum,bro then went ah-ma's house play piano..
ah-ma as usual chat with us.. and told us abt a old man who leaves a few blocks away from ah-ma's house pass away story.. very champ..

the children very rich...business people.. but din "care" to employ a maid to look after the wheelchair-bound father.. or at least send him to a nursing homE? no... just leaving the father at the void deck.. if want to "pee", just pee on the grass.. den i ask ah-ma, den big business how?

the day he pass away, once again he was left by the daughter on the void deck... den he knew... "hui guang fan zhao" , so called a aunty to push him up to his house..
he has the hp, but he din called his daugher, WHO was at HOME.
is was then 3.30pm.
he passed away at 4.30pm..
i saw his funeral pass-by our block, is was grand..
ah-ma says, what's the use of making it grand when even the person alive u din make an effort to care..
true~

as children, as we grows, maybe the scenes of our parents taking care of us had been ERASED. but pls... just the thought of our mother who carry us in her stomach for 10 full mths and pushing us out for at least 10hrs or more..just the thought, don't we feel gratefuL?

pls, childrenS out there, pls... pls... make an effort to care for our parents.. a word "thanks" for yr mum's cooking could be enough.

btw, elective module just started on fri... is fun... got to stimulate my thinkings for iDEAS!

but my grp was damn.... *ahem*.. hai..regret for that grp..but no choice..

at least i'm with antz and wei.. =)

den last sat just went to buy contact lens solution.. lucky i din bought the complete moisture de.. if not.. like last time the bauch and lom brand.. wasted 1 bottle's money!

for 2 consecutive days, i've been stoning in sch.. for having breaks in between for 3 full hours! is so tiring...
looking at the superstars' blogs.. hmm.. they enjoyed the process, enjoying the everything they r doing..

BCLS theory test fri, prac next monday..
some classmates had the prac test.. is kind of strict, but super lenient if we r tested by our very own prac teacher..
i rather a strict teacher took me.. so i can be "CERTIFIED" as SUPER PRO IN CPR.. haha..
hey, we get a cert if we pass the test ok!
but 2 yrs later, got to renew.. urgh.. so every 2 yrs got to be tested , going thru the same stuff..

yesterday amazing race: CHo bRos out! hai.. the BAMA still in .. i hate this! the CHo should not cont' pairing with them during the race.. hai.. is okay.. they say they enjoyed the process..

so "hao QI'' .. kept asking lin abt her and her bf.. whahahhaaz.. jun's questions was kind of weird.. very detail.. then poor mun was like flushing away.. so shy.

yesterday, i had experienced what is like being partially blind...
on my way to canteen, sth got into my eyes, is pain..itchy... then i went toilet... is actually my hair~ then i pull out..and.. my contact lens drop off.. damn..what a day.. then of coz the other one won't have any use...
but..i have 2 pair of eyes with me, lucky~ (thanks to wei2 and xy..)
is total uncomfortable when u can't see anything.. so peeps, pls protect yr eyes! and those with contact lens, one advice! PLS BRING YR SPECS ALONG! haha..

down with a heavy flu, wei2 bought me a bottle of herbal tea~ so touched! =)

i love it, as it goes round and round, i view the place clearly. there's no fear, i was calm and enjoyed the whole process..

he went to a orchestra concert with my aunt tonight, while i go sengkang shop shop with my parents.. hmm dad bought an old eng CD (101 songs) from popular de..but got promo on the ground floor..so got promoter and stuff..then is this xiao didi (with natural white hair) promoting..then his attitude damn good... in the end, after paying, he shakes hands with my dad and say:"uncle, nice to meet you" haha.. very polite.. coz in btw, my dad was chatting with him..(so kapo)..then i was shopping with mum..haha..

then found out sth... dad and mum like polite , si-wen guys~ *ahem*

hmm..i'm having my 1 week holiday b4 the Yr 2, semester 2 begins...
in total i had 6 weeks of attachments.. very fruitfuL~ went to different setting... in kk, IMH, School health service, of coz in general hosp.

but now, i feeling extreme boredom.. i dun wish to go out, coz saving $, is a dilemna.

i had made a decision...waiting for interview. hope it succeed! =)

hoooo... sorry pple! so long din blog.. just came back from TAIWAN! hee.. did alot of shopping, eating, had so much fUN!... back to singapore, alreadi the 3rd day..but, i still miss the food, place, pple of tw! hmm..

although towards the end of the trip, the dao-bian thingy b'come quite "hot" ..but we still enjoyed the trip! hee..

AH!!!!! i still want to go there again! so fuN!

hmm..the first day, feelings of fear, nervous, excitement.. the first view of it: it's really HOUGANG chalet... in the past, i dun knw why they call IMH hougang chalet, now i knw. hmm.. the building is like a chalet. first day was actually orientation of the hosp. lots of psychiatric stuff to learn..
b4 lunch we then got to our own wards. but we still dun get to see them(patient).. is after lunch then our instructor intro us to the patients, the ward. the patients are really no different frm us, is just that they r not in reality. that's the day.
but the day is still SPOILT by the ward (s****r). she scolded us for one thing that we GALS actually din do it. the girls toilet was complained by the cleaner that is full of Blood. hmm.. is kind of embarrasing, when she scolded us (girls) in front of the group which have guys and our teacher is a malE~ wah kaoz... as if we are the only girls in the ward! how bout the staff?
subsequent days, we invovled with more interaction with our patients. mainly talking to them, know about their conditions. it was challenging, we student nurses have to like open up, dun need save the face~ haha...
we also plan activites and have some education session with the patient..
seeing some patient improving, getting themselves more involved with activites for some which actually isolated themselves.. i feel a sense of fulfilment! =)

5 more days, and it ends the posting at IMH. =)

EXAM IS OVER!!! WOHOOO!!!

AH! finally! finally... i can feel my own breath, my feeling of hunger, tiredness... coz, EXAMS IS OVER! yea! cheers!

ok... from that last post, which is like 3 weeks back(opps =x) ... plus mun say spider web here.. i shall blog..

my bio paper is difficult.. that's all. haha..

oh..on my way back today, saw min min.. actually during exam, she sits on the row beside, behind 3 seats from me.. hee.. (sort of diagonally).. hee.. everytime one paper over, turn back and chat a while with her.. haha.. she still so hao3 liao2... hee...

hmm.. 2 wks of posting to IMH, frm next week onwards... hee.. interesting setting! =) min min says is fun..

somemore dun need to get up as early when i'm going ttsh, coz IMH quite near ...take one bus would reach~

oh ya, and after this 2 wks, i'm going TAIWAN!!! HERE I COME , di~ hoo.. but i worry that they come singapore leh~ hee..nvm.. anyway, want to visit milk's dance studio.. but dun knw where... hmm...

JUN! tell u sth, just now i go serangoon buy things with my ma, then got this very old uncle walk pass me and smile at me... i stare at him! haha.. he walk away le, keep turning back and smile.. eR~ so is not that we look auntie.. (i can't possible think that i got this day...) haha.. then the autie of the shop saw and tell my ma:" eee.. that uncle use cheeky eyes to look at yr daughter"... what a day~ ER XIN....

ok.. looking for places to go in taiwan now..

yesterday went to superband final... is was HIGH!!!

actually, our main objective is to see milk lah.. but the performance of MC HOTDOG and ZHANG ZHENG YUE was like so damn high, everyone is dancing on the floor.. haha.. very fun.. is really like party..

we din wear any of colour code, except mun (no choice lah~) wore black (=lucify).. but actually we support milo and j3... hee.. we hope to see them in the final 2, but... *ahem*..

nvm, MILO BING IS THE SUPERBAND 2006!!! THEY SIGNED CONTRACT WITH WARNER MUSIC O!

hee.. they really very bang4!!! very "singaporean" ... =)

great performance yesterday by them.. =)

I JUST LOVE J3's "XIAO WEI"... blue tone. jazz. ah! make lao3 niang2's hair stand!

milk danced "MR Q" (just as we expected) with Glamourous.. urgh~ i just smell the jealousy from the floor of milk's supporter.. haha.

hmmm, yesterday had Hs2117 presentations, OMG, our grp did it! although we overshot the time of 30mins, but we got DISTINCTION! i'm so happY! yea!

hmm, ms dorothy say each of us performance, she said that my acting was good, and my voice when presentation very soothing, my friend say not like the usual voice of mine? who is that? hmm.. haha.. they also say like reporter's voice..hee.. hmm, maybe my blocked nose made me sound gd? haha..

btw, i acted as a ah beng, den even dance in front of the class.. urgh, best part is the music din work, and i actually dance without the music, embarrasing seh~ then dorothy say i pro seh, without music also can dance.. haha.. then in that skit, i also act as a drunken ah beng, then i wore slippers mah, then i actually trip over my own slippers and nearly fall, but no one knws it!!! except for double f, haha.. she says is a good ''come back'' ahha...

wOw... tml is the last day of my 4th placement in ttsh. tml, very special, we would be having a ''spirrohawk'' (bird flu epidemic) drill exercise which all health proffesionals in all hosp got to be in our PPE (protective personal equipment) , those N95 mask and gowns which we would wear to protect against INFECTIONS.

hmm..i'm rather excited abt it coz we would be in the setting of the SARS period where all nurses, doctors in their "suits" ready to fight the war!

but, hope i dun get cynosis wearing that real tight n95 mask for a 5hrs in the ward, esp when i'm having slight flu ,breathing thru my mouth.. whaha.
the experience, i would share again when i blog tml.. btw, there would be media coming.. look our for me..haha.. no lah~

AH~ today went to milk's Dance Workshop.. is damn fuN!

we start @ around 4.30pm.. then milk came in" hey, sorry~ i'm late..." some"wOoOOOoOO" sound by some galS~ then start-toh!

of coz, we did some warm-up.. butz, my whole face already bursting.. coz very "WARM-UP"...whahahaz..

then the teaching of a dance.. hmm.. is nt easy..

the movement are quite fast.. but we tried our best to follow.. hmmm..

Niunai very patient, encouraging.. learnt alot today! thanx~

we 4 went east coast to cycle.. hmm.everything was fine.. ride so damn happily...

then, at 2.15pm.. we returing the bikeS.. hmm.. ride..ride..ride.. then very crowded at a part.. 2 young kids was riding in the middle of the road WITH their DEAR PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS beside them watching them.. so only left with a narrow path to ride.. then.. jun in front of me, turn to that path.. follow by me.. BUT! the 2 young kids GO the same direction as me, my 1st reaction was of COZ TO BRAKE. but that SUDDEN BRAKE made me fly off the bike.. OMG!!! my lower jaw landed on the ground.. first thing come to my mind was , did my teeth drop? my lips brokeN? lucky.. my lip just got some scratches, but my teeth got a bit chip off, not serious lah.. but the best part is.. during the process, mun they all heard the KIDS telling their PARENTS and GRANDMA that is my fault that caused the happening. and the best part is they don even care to help me up... and when mun they all help me up , i spill out some blood coz my gum bleed, then i in pain lah! then the BITCH GRANDMA and THE MOTHER still dare to come and say "aiya, small case lah, only gum bleed only, nth lah..you first time ride bike issit? " wah lau.. pissed off.. actually i don knw they r the kids parents de.. is mun they all heard le tell me.. coz i in pain and shocked!! then THEY HAPPILY GO OFF WITHOUT SAYING SORRY!! DAMN IT!

hai..frm this pls be aware that not all singaporeans are like me so cultured, considerate.. is like i want to save 2 kids and cause myself in pain..

damn... having bruises all over, nearly no "mother's day" oso.. damn...

today is the last day of sch b4 term break. but work don just end here...

after the 2 weeks break, we would be back in sch with 2 tests, then after that week of sch, we would go for 3 weeks attachment... then we would be back again in sch (and for my grp, we have 3 projects to present!) so we only got the 2 weeks break to finish our proj!!! coz we don have time during the attachment...
urgh~!!!

this sunday, we would be going k in a large grp, with my family and religion friends~ hee..

thurs: I WENT TO DONATE BLOOD!!! so HAPPY! i HAD SAVE A LIFE!!! yea!!! but the process so damn long.. wait for like 2 hrs++!!! but lucky the last part, the nurse can find my vein.. Wes wasted, can't find her vein, so can't donate.. hmm.. So fuN! esp when u see yr own blood drain out after that big needle poke into our vein.. and when the bag of blood was taken away, i feel kind of weird~ haha.. coz i "lost" sth frm my body.. hee..
